The Lying Game by Sara Shepard

INFORMATION
Title: The Lying Game
Author: Sara Shepard
Publisher: HarperTeen
Release: December 7th, 2010

SUMMARY
"I had a life anyone would kill for.
Then someone did.
The worst part of being dead is that there’s nothing left to live for. No more kisses. No more secrets. No more gossip. It’s enough to kill a girl all over again. But I’m about to get something no one else does—an encore performance, thanks to Emma, the long-lost twin sister I never even got to meet.
Now Emma’s desperate to know what happened to me. And the only way to figure it out is to be me—to slip into my old life and piece it all together. But can she laugh at inside jokes with my best friends? Convince my boyfriend she’s the girl he fell in love with? Pretend to be a happy, carefree daughter when she hugs my parents good night? And can she keep up the charade, even after she realizes my murderer is watching her every move?
From Sara Shepard, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Pretty Little Liars books, comes a riveting new series about secrets, lies, and killer consequences.

Let the lying game begin."
REVIEW
What can I say, I'm a sucker for Sara Shepard. Her writing is just...wow, Amazing. I must say she is probably my favorite author, and this book? Yeah, it’s probably my favorite book. The Lying Game was just so fun and fresh, and also very creepy at times. At first though, I really didn’t enjoy this book that much, I found it slow and confusing between the two narrators, but after two or three chapters I got used to it and fell in LOVE.
The thing that really made this book amazing for me was the fact that after pretty much after every chapter new questions were brought up. Emma Paxton went from being a foster kid living with a foster mom who prefers her biological son over her, to taking over the life of her long-lost twin sister, who happens to be dead. Now taking the identity of Sutton Mercer, Emma tries to figure out the murder of her sister. This isn’t the easiest thing to do, since the murderer threatens Emma on multiple occasions and just so happens to be closer than she thinks.
In the Lying Game, every time I thought I figured out who murdered Sutton, I didn’t. This book had SOOO many twists. . . I loved it. If you liked Sara Shepard’s other series, Pretty Little Liars, you will definitely love The Lying Game. A lot of people think they are similar and TLG is just a knock-off of PLL, well it isn’t, It is all its own. I highly recommend this book.
